The Airbnb filter in short

Smart Filter checks each listing in Airbnb search results and each review in a listing's reviews, on airbnb.com and Airbnb's country domains such as airbnb.de and airbnb.co.uk. A listing is read by its two title lines, up to 400 characters; a review by its text only, without the guest line or the host's response. A keyword rule such as hotel* matches words; an AI rule such as reviews that mention noise describes a kind of listing or review. A match folds into a Hidden line with a Show button, or is blurred or dimmed. Smart Filter sends nothing to Airbnb.

What it filters on Airbnb

Search results

Each listing card is checked by its title lines, so a keyword rule such as hotel* keeps your search to homes.

Reviews by what they say

An AI rule such as reviews that mention noise picks out the reviews about the one thing you care about, whatever words the guest used.

Dim instead of hide

Set a review rule to Dim and the matches fade but stay readable: the quickest way to see how many reviews mention it.

Every country domain

The same rules run on airbnb.com, airbnb.de, airbnb.co.uk and Airbnb's other country domains.

Rules worth trying on Airbnb

Keyword rules suit words that titles really use. AI rules catch a kind of listing or review, whatever words it uses.

Filtering Airbnb: common questions

Can I hide hotels on Airbnb?

Yes. Search on Airbnb, click the Smart Filter icon and add the suggested keyword rule hotel*. It hides every listing whose title lines say hotel, and it is free. The matches fold into a Hidden line with a Show button.

Can it find reviews about noise?

Yes. Open a listing's reviews and add the suggested AI rule reviews that mention noise. Set it to Dim to keep the matches readable, or describe another issue, such as reviews that mention cleanliness problems.

Does it work on Airbnb outside the US?

Yes. The same rules run on airbnb.com and Airbnb's country domains, such as airbnb.de, airbnb.co.uk and airbnb.com.au.

How many credits does an Airbnb search use?

Keyword rules use none. AI rules come with up to 10,000 credits to start, and one credit checks one listing against one AI rule: a page of 18 listings and one AI rule uses up to 18 credits; reviews are counted the same way. Listings you have seen before are not charged again. Plans and top-ups add more.

Does Airbnb see that I filter?

No. Smart Filter changes the page only in your browser and sends nothing to Airbnb. AI rules send the rule and up to 400 characters of each listing or review to Smart Filter's server, and only after you agree; your Airbnb account, your dates and the page address are not part of it.
