What the Amazon filter covers
Search results
Every result on a search page is checked, Sponsored ones included. The Sponsored label is part of a result's text, so one keyword rule finds them.
Customer reviews
Reviews on product pages are checked too. An AI rule reads the review title and body, so it can act on how a review sounds, not only on its words.
Hidden, not gone
A hidden result leaves a quiet Hidden line with a Show button. Pick Blur or Dim instead if you still want to see what was caught.
Your storefront
Works on the main Amazon storefronts, for example .com, .co.uk, .de and .co.jp. The Sponsored label is translated per storefront, so on other languages use the word the page shows.
Example rules for Amazon
The suggested rules are the ones the popup offers on Amazon until you have a rule of your own. Add one with a click, or type your own.

More AI rules
Read what an item means- keyword-stuffed titles
- reviews written in marketing language
- reviews about shipping or packaging, not the product
Keyword rules or AI rules
Use a keyword rule for words you can name, and an AI rule for what you can only describe. Both work together on the same page.
Keyword rule
SponsoredBest for fixed words like the Sponsored label. It matches whole words, and a star at the end covers the rest of the word, so renewed* also catches Renewed. Keyword rules run on your device, cost nothing and have no limit.
AI rule
fake-sounding reviewsDescribe what you want gone in plain English. Smart Filter reads each result or review and decides whether it matches your description. Each item checked against a rule costs one credit.
Set up the Amazon filter in three steps
- Install Smart Filter from the Chrome Web Store. It needs no account and no API key.
- Add a rule. Open an Amazon search page and click the Smart Filter icon. The popup suggests Sponsored and fake-sounding reviews; add one with a click or type your own.
- Choose how it looks. Pick Hide, Blur, Dim or Show only. Hide is the default: a hidden result leaves a quiet Hidden line, and Show brings it back.

Questions about the Amazon filter
How do I hide Sponsored results on Amazon?
Add a keyword rule with the word Sponsored. On a search page the label is part of each sponsored result's text, so the rule hides those results and leaves a Hidden line with a Show button. The label is translated on other storefronts, so use the word your storefront shows.
Which Amazon pages does it filter?
Search results and the customer reviews on product pages, on the main Amazon storefronts such as .com, .co.uk, .de and .co.jp. Other parts of a page, such as banners, are left alone.
Can an AI rule find fake reviews on Amazon?
An AI rule reads the first 400 characters of each review's title and body and decides whether it matches your description, for example fake-sounding reviews. It judges the text only and can be wrong, which is why every hidden review stays one click away.
Why does an AI rule also check search results?
Rules apply to the whole site, so an AI rule meant for reviews also checks search results and uses credits there. Turn the rule off in the popup when you are not reading reviews.
Is the Amazon filter free?
Keyword rules are free and unlimited. AI rules start with 1,000 free credits, then 50 a day. One credit checks one result or review against one AI rule, and plans and top-ups add more credits.
What does the extension send when it filters Amazon?
Keyword rules run on your device and send nothing. AI rules send your rule and up to 400 characters of each result's or review's text, with a random install ID and the extension version, and only after you agree; your name, your account and the page address are not sent.
